Church Assistance for Resilience and Empowerment The CARE Team is a regional ministry designed to provide emotional support, practical resources, and educational opportunities to clergy and congregational leaders, helping them manage compassion fatigue and maintain a fulfilling personal life. Compassion fatigue - the emotional toll of constantly witnessing and addressing the suffering of others – can impact the mental and physical health of those called to care and drastically shorten lives and careers. Our purpose is to come alongside clergy and congregational leaders, helping them navigate these challenges so they can enjoy a personally fulfilling life while continuing to thrive in the mission to which they have been called. Trauma impacts each of us - clergy and congregation, family member and community neighbor. To truly care for our neighbor, we must strive to understand our neighbor, and we must have the tools for the job. Each of us has our own personal response to our experiences. Understanding what those responses look like and learning how to show up for our neighbor is crucial. CARE team members are available for consultation and workshops in the following areas:
